MAMMOSITE® RADIATION THERAPY

MammoSite® Radiation Therapy System (RTS) is a minimally invasive method of delivering radiation therapy to breast cancer patients who have recently undergone a lumpectomy. The MammoSite system delivers radiation directly to the original tumor site where cancer is most likely to recur while minimizing exposure to healthy tissue. This innovative system delivers a full course of targeted radiation in just five days (versus six or seven weeks of conventional radiation therapy).

The David C. Pratt Cancer Center at St. John’s Mercy in St. Louis is equipped with top radiation oncologists and specialists as well as sophisticated treatment and technologies. Please call 314-251-6400 to find more information on radiation treatments and stereotactic radiosurgical options offered at St. John’s Mercy.
